It is surprisingly tricky to locate good
beachfront property in Marbella – unless, of course you’re prepared to pay the
incredible premiums that these exclusive locations demand.
For example, if you were to seek a 2 bed
property on the highly sought-after and very elegant beachside Golden Mile of
Marbella, you would struggle to find something for less than 650,000€.
However, we are now witnessing a surge of new-build
developments that are providing some very interesting purchasing prospects.
The
first to grab the attention of local and international investors alike was
Bahia Beach. It re-launched the first phase of previously distressed properties
back to the market in 2012. These highly luxurious beachfront apartments and
penthouses on the New Golden Mile had originally been priced at between 500,000€
- 900,000€. All of the properties and surrounding facilities were
re-conditioned and re-marketed with 70% discounts from their original cost. Therefore,
it was no surprise that the entire first phase of 113 properties sold out in
only a fortnight –an unprecedented occurrence in a still delicate economy.
The second phase of Bahia Beach is now
available. And though the prices have increased to match a steadier economy,
they still offer some of the best opportunities with new 1-3 bed apartments and
penthouses, located in a 5-star neighbourhood from only 206,000€. This is probably one of the best sales
opportunities available right now.
More recently, American Investment Fund,
RCS–Spain has also launched a stunning newly redeveloped resort on the New
Golden Mile near to the exclusive leisure complex, Laguna Village. Golden Beach is a
completely unique resort with unbeatable panoramic views across to Gibraltar
and Africa. Similar to Bahia Beach, the more economical Golden Beach properties
are being snapped up quickly so we urge investors to act quickly.
Also situated along the New Golden Mile is
Horizon Beach. The same developer who sold 114 off-plan apartments in 2013 in
just 11 months brings these beautiful apartments to market. Horizon Beach is a
tranquil collection of just 36 apartments and penthouses with an infinity pool
and direct access to the beach. Prices start at 300,000€. We do not expect them
to be available for long.
Beachfront locations will always be the height of demand in
Marbella and space is running out. If you’re looking for a new build property
with sea views, we recommend that you act quickly to make the most of these
excellent opportunities.
